Hannah Birke

Hannah Birke is an experienced professional at The Australian National University, currently serving as the Executive Officer to the Vice-President (First Nations) and previously as the Executive Officer to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International & Corporate) and Senior Equity & Diversity Consultant. In these roles, Hannah has been instrumental in developing and leading initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive university environment. Other notable positions include Communications Coordinator at the Centre for Learning & Teaching, where a communication strategy was developed to enhance community engagement, and Program Coordinator for NECTAR, where a career development mentoring program for early-career researchers was created. Hannah has also actively contributed to the ANU Ally Network and served in various academic roles, including postdoctoral fellowships at CSIRO and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Translational Photosynthesis, following an educational background that includes a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology from Heidelberg University.
