John Burley is a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Australian National University since August 2023. Previously, John served as a PhD Candidate in Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology at Brown University from January 2018 to August 2023. John has contributed to population genomics research during a tenure as a Visiting Researcher at Harvard University and was a Scientific Researcher at the University of Montpellier, where work focused on tumor evolution as part of a Master's degree, leading to publications in notable academic journals. Additional experience includes roles as an Ecologist at GreenCollar and a Research Assistant at the University of Technology Sydney, alongside an Ecology and Conservation Internship at the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. John holds a Master of Science in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Montpellier and Uppsala University, as well as a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) in Biology and Plant Science from the University of Sydney.
