Michelle Gunton

Michelle Gunton is a seasoned program and project manager with extensive experience in various sectors, currently serving as a Program Controller at Defence Australia since July 2024. Concurrently, Michelle is a Higher Degree Research Candidate at The Australian National University. Previous roles include Senior Project Program Manager and Senior Project Manager at Leidos Australia, where Michelle contributed significantly to the uplift and management of a program PMO and advanced risk management initiatives. Michelle has a strong background in project management, having previously worked with organizations such as the Australian National University, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Optus. Holding a Master of Philosophy in Project Management from The Australian National University, an MBA in Project Management from the University of Southern Queensland, and a BA in Policy Studies, Michelle possesses a solid educational foundation complemented by practical experience across various project management disciplines.
