Nico Lassing

Nico Lassing is an experienced technology leader currently serving as General Manager Payments Technology at Commonwealth Bank since May 2020, overseeing the development and operation of payment processing systems. Lassing has previously held significant roles at NatWest Group, including Head of Payment Systems and Head of Core Payment Platforms, where responsibilities centered around managing payment technology for millions of customers and leading compliance initiatives. Prior experience includes a senior role at Accenture, focusing on payments delivery in the EALA region and consulting within the Financial Services practice in the Netherlands. Lassing's academic background includes a Ph.D. in IT Architecture and an MSc in Business Informatics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, alongside contributions to academic literature and advisory roles in computing education.
