Owen Atkin is currently the Director of the Agrifood Innovation Institute since January 2024 and has served as a Professor at The Australian National University (ANU) since January 2008, where Atkin heads the Division of Plant Sciences and fulfills the role of Vice Chancellor's Entrepreneurial Professor, focusing on enhancing connections between ANU researchers and the agri-technology sector. Previous experience includes directing the Centre for Entrepreneurial Agri-Technology (CEAT) from September 2019 to February 2024 and holding various academic positions, such as Lecturer-Reader at the University of York and ARC Post Doctoral Fellow at ANU.
