Subrata Banarjee

Subrata Banarjee is an experienced academic and researcher currently serving as a Teaching Associate and PhD Researcher at The Australian National University since February 2022. With a strong background in criminology, Subrata has held various positions including Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the Department of Criminology and Police Science since April 2015, and Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa from November 2016 to May 2018. Previous roles also include Lecturer at Mawlana Bhashani Science Technology University from April 2013 to April 2015, Research Associate at the Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies from June 2012 to April 2013, and an internship at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in March 2012. Subrata holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Gender-Based Violence from The Australian National University, as well as a Master of Arts in Criminology from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Science in Criminology and Police Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Police Science from Mawlana Bhashani Science Technology University.
