Kirubel Frew

Kirubel Frew is the Vice President of Business Development at Anumana & nference.

Kirubel is interested in scaling companies bringing cutting-edge technologies and medicines to patients faster. Kirubel joined nference in 2020 from Lazard's Healthcare M&A advisory practice where he led cross-functional teams on buy-side and sell-side engagements delivering broad strategic and financial advice to the board of directors and management teams of healthcare companies globally.

Kirubel started his career as part of the founding team at SQZ Biotech, a NYSE-listed clinical-stage immuno-oncology company where he co-invented a novel approach to squeezing and consequently engineering cells. Kirubel has also held research roles as a fellow at Flagship Pioneering and at the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard. Kirubel holds a B.S. in Chemistry and an MBA.
