Nikki Shere

Prevention Coordinator at Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center

Nikki Shere, MPH, is a dedicated public health professional currently serving as a Prevention Specialist at Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center since July 2023. Previously, Nikki held the position of Graduate Assistant for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where responsibilities included conducting workshops on mental health, overseeing data collection and program evaluation for the Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) initiative, and assisting in the evaluation of competency-based training programs. Nikki's experience also includes an internship with the U.S. Department of Transportation focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion within the National Highway Safety Administration, managing a research project related to PrEP uptake in African American women, and serving as a Health Equity Scholar Intern with Sugarbreak. Nikki holds a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center is a 501(c)(3) substance use disorder treatment and prevention center located in Charlotte, NC. Anuvia promotes wellness in the community by providing compassionate treatment and prevention services of the highest quality to impact the disease of addiction. Anuvia envisions a community where the impact of substance use is significantly reduced because its members recognize addiction as a disease affecting the entire community, know where to turn for help, and have access to the highest quality of care. Anuvia is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and is an approved provider for many Managed Care Organizations (MCO), Medicaid and most insurance companies. We provide many services on a sliding scale fee basis and do not turn anyone away due to inability to pay.
