Akshay Pottathil, Ph.D. has a wealth of experience in the fields of technology, research, and academia. In 2019, they were appointed President of Intelligence Research Institute. From 2014 to 2019, they were Co-Director of the Center for Information Convergence and Strategy (CICS), where they focused on the intersection of modern technology application within fields such as Geography and Information Technology. In 2015, they were appointed Chair of the Left of Boom conferences held annually at San Diego State University. In 2019, they became a Member of the Board of Advisors for Darvis, a company that transforms surveillance camera grids and sensor networks into actionable intelligence. In 2020, they were appointed Chief Strategist at Anvaya Solutions, Inc., where they advised the CEO on establishing and reviewing key market priorities. In 2022, they were appointed Adjunct Faculty at the National Forensic Sciences University and Associated Faculty at the Department of Political Science and ISCOR - SDSU.
