Rolando Barona

Rolando Barona has been working in the software engineering industry since 2007. Rolando began their career as a Senior Web Developer at Ender Technology, where they communicated with clients to analyze and document requirements for projects and tasks, designed websites, and developed frontend and backend solutions. In 2015, they joined YP as a Senior Software Engineer. Rolando then moved to Walmart eCommerce in 2019, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2021, they joined AppDirect as a Senior Software Development Engineer, where they worked with React to develop and enhance the checkout portion of AppDirect's main application. Rolando also converted tests from Enzyme to React-testing-library and refined and refactored existing components to adhere to up-to-date best practices. Later that same year, they joined Loop Commerce - Synchrony Financial as a Senior Frontend Engineer, where they worked with React to enhance and revamp the GiftNow platform. Rolando converted old Backbone.js code into React, created additional components for various features of the site, and enhanced existing components in the design library. Currently, they are employed by Anvilogic as a Staff UI Engineer.

Rolando Barona obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences, General from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona between 1999 and 2006.
