Allen Yin

Allen Yin has a diverse range of work experience in the software engineering field. Allen started as a Vice President at dvcoders in 2016, where they created and taught web development workshops, mentored members during hackathons, and recruited new members and officers. In the same year, they also worked as a Computer Lab Assistant and Math Tutor at Diablo Valley College, providing tutoring services to students and leading group tutoring sessions.

In 2017, Allen worked as a Web Developer Intern at Valay and a Software Engineering Intern at Chartmetric. At Valay, they gained experience in web development, and at Chartmetric, they gained practical experience in software engineering.

In 2018, Allen interned as a Software Engineer at Visa, where they gained exposure to software engineering practices in a professional setting.

In 2019, Allen joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Software Development Engineer, managing the build and release process of Open Distro for Elasticsearch. Allen built and distributed Docker images and packages for the software.

After that, they transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, in 2017. At Berkeley, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, which they completed in 2018.
