John Malsbury

John Malsbury has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. John is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of AnySignal, a position they started in 2022. Prior to this, they founded West Coast Aerosport in 2018, where they served as the Founder, President, and Chief Flight Instructor of a flight school focused on adventure and specialized training.

In 2022, John also took on the role of Assistant/Supporter at Christa Malsbury - Realtor, where they supported their spouse, a real estate agent, as a general assistant, contributing to lead generation and marketing strategy.

Before their current roles, John worked at SpaceX from 2014 to 2022. John held various positions, including Lead DSP, FPGA, and Software Engineer, where they led a multi-disciplinary team and contributed to the development of several projects and systems for Falcon, Dragon, Starship, and ground stations. John also worked as a Lead Digital Signal Processing Engineer and an RF Systems Engineer and SDR Domain Expert, responsible for the deployment and optimization of high-reliability SDR technology.

John has also worked at Spire as an RF and Comms Architect, where they developed critical software-defined radio applications for satellite communications. John started their career at Ettus Research as a Product Manager, managing a complex product line.

Additionally, John worked as an Electrical Engineer at Sparton Defense and Security Systems, where they contributed to the design of communications systems for anti-submarine warfare. John also worked as a Research Staff at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and as an Engineering Technician at Daytona Twintec.

John Malsbury obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. John attended from 2003 to 2007. John then pursued further education at the same university, working towards a Master of Science (MS) degree in Project Management. This program started in 2009 and is expected to be completed in 2015.
