Avi Stermer

Avi Stermer is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial control and accounting. Currently, Avi serves as the Head of Financial Control for the Institutional division at ANZ Banking Group since 2010, and has also taken on various leadership roles within the organization, including Divisional Financial Controller (acting) and Finance Strategic Delivery lead. Prior to ANZ, Avi worked at Absa Group as a Manager in Finance and Accounting, and gained experience at Morgan Stanley as a Product Controller. Early career experience includes a position as Assistant Manager in Audit at PKF (JHB) Inc. Avi holds an Honours degree in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg, obtained between 2000 and 2003.
