Chris Lovell

Chris Lovell is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in governance, credit assessment, and risk management, primarily at ANZ since May 2012. As General Manager for Governance & Business Support, and previously as Director and Head of Research & Analysis for New Zealand, Chris has overseen credit assessment and debt structuring for ANZ's institutional debt portfolio, while also managing a team focused on industry and financial analysis for major corporates. Chris has held various leadership roles within ANZ, including interim Head of NZ Wholesale Credit Risk and Associate Director for Utilities and Infrastructure. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Credit Manager and Principal at different institutions, with a solid educational foundation in Economics from the University of Canterbury.
