Liz is a proud Worimi Woman and clinical psychologist (registrar) with over 15 years of clinical experience spanning mental health, drug and alcohol addiction, gambling addiction, eating disorders, and intergenerational trauma. Liz currently works as a private consultant for the Butterfly foundation where she contributes a unique blend of clinical and cultural knowledge to help the Butterfly foundation develop national policy, create effective awareness-raising campaigns, and educational resources for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities about early detection and prevention of eating disorders. Liz was also recently awarded an 18month PERL Fellowship by the University of Wollongong to embark on a line of research that will bring about much-needed knowledge about how Aboriginal people experience eating disorders and the cultural utility of current treatment approaches.
