John Skinner

John Skinner is an accomplished professional in regulatory and policy management, currently serving as Senior Manager Policy at APA Group since May 2021. Previously, John held the position of Regulatory Policy Manager at Ausgrid from September 2018 to May 2021, and served as Director of Consumers and Competition Policy at the NSW Department of Industry from February 2017 to June 2018. John also spent seven years at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), where responsibilities included Director of the Australian Energy Regulator and Assistant Director in the Communications Group. Earlier roles included Business Manager and Assistant Manager positions at the Australian Communications and Media Authority, as well as IT Systems Administrator at the Australian Broadcasting Authority. John has academic credentials from the University of New South Wales, the Legal Professionals Admission Board, and the University of Sydney.
