Jeremy Barrett has extensive work experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. Jeremy started their career at ICI Australia in 1992, where they held various roles, including AN Complex Technical Manager and Global Technologist. During their time at ICI Australia, they played a key role in commissioning a new factory and optimizing manufacturing performance.
In 2001, Jeremy joined Orica as an AN Complex Manager, where they managed the Nitrates Complex on the Yarwun Chemical Manufacturing site. Jeremy also took on additional responsibilities during a company restructure.
In 2003, they were promoted to Global Nitrates Technical Manager at Orica, where they supported the company's AN manufacturing facilities and led cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives. Jeremy also conducted Due Diligence on potential acquisitions and proposed low-cost investment and expansion projects.
Jeremy joined Orica Mining Services in 2010, working on special projects in the Global AN division. In 2011, they became the General Manager and President of Apache Nitrogen Products Inc, where they currently hold a leadership position.
Jeremy Barrett obtained a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology/Technician from Harare Polytechnic, where they attended from 1981 to 1982. Jeremy then pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of the Witwatersrand from 1985 to 1988, earning a BSc in Chemical Engineering.
