Monica Pitts

Monica Pitts is the current Finance Director at Apalachee Regional Planning Council. Monica has previous experience working as a Grants Support Assistant & Housing Assistance Programs Coordinator/Manager from November 2019 to November 2021 at Board of County Commissioners. There, they were responsible for managing Housing Assistance Programs (Grants), conducting applicant interviews, providing technical advice and guidance, preparing reports, and more. Monica is skilled in housing financing and credit, financial management concepts and practices, and has a deep knowledge of housing assistance programs and eligibility requirements. Monica is an excellent communicator and takes pride in delivering high quality customer service. Monica is a strong leader with a proven track record of achieving goals and meeting standards.

Monica Pitts attended Holmes County High School, where they earned a high school diploma in general studies. Monica then attended Gulf Coast State College, where they earned a vocational certificate in dental assisting/assistant.

They work with Caroline Smith - Economic Development Manager, Donald Morgan - Housing Program Manager, and Josh Adams - Environmental Planning Manager. Monica Pitts reports to Chris Rietow, Executive Director.
