Deniz Gungen

Deniz Gungen, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Deniz has been working at APCO Worldwide since 2013, starting as a Consultant in Strategic Communications and Public Affairs and progressing to roles such as Associate Director, Country Director, and currently as the Senior Director in the UK and Country Director in Turkey. Prior to this, they worked as the Coordinator of Strategy and Business Development at the DEIK - Foreign Economic Relations Board and as a University Lecturer at Yeditepe University. Deniz also has experience as a Seminar Coordinator and Lecturer at the Cambodia Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC), and as a Teaching Fellow at Boston University. Additionally, they have had roles as a Project Manager at Welocalize, a Research Analyst at Makethemove, Inc., and a Research Assistant at iDE (International Development Enterprises).

Deniz Gungen, Ph.D. obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Affairs from Bilkent University between the years 1993 and 1997. Following this, from 1997 to 1999, they pursued a Master's Degree in Global Finance, Trade and Economic Integration at the University of Denver - Josef Korbel School of International Studies. Lastly, from 2004 to 2010, Deniz Gungen completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Political Science and Government at Boston University.
