Segun Olowofela has extensive experience in finance and administration, having held various roles in different companies. Segun started their career at General Electric as a Financial and Acquisition Analyst, where they were involved in price testing, inventory sampling, and business development. Segun then joined Estee Lauder as a Senior Auditor, overseeing compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley implementation.

Olowofela later worked at Pearson as the Vice President of Finance for the Financial Times division, growing it into the company's most profitable unit. Segun also served as a Business Manager for Longman Nigeria, where they conducted due diligence and improved accounting processes.

Their other roles include working as a VP of Finance & Controller consultant at Sailthru, a Senior Controller at Macmillan, and a Global Finance Director at Wealth-X. Segun served as the Vice President of Finance & Administration at the Mobile Marketing Association, where they established financial policies and improved financial processes.

Currently, Olowofela is the Chief Financial Officer at American Prison Data Systems, a B Corporation that provides secure online inmate education and rehabilitation services. Segun is responsible for the financial operations of the company and ensures profitability.

In addition to their professional experience, Olowofela is also a Founding Advisor at The Promise Venture, where they provide guidance and support.

Segun Olowofela completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance at St. John's University. Segun also holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Baruch College. In addition to their degrees, Segun Olowofela has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2001, they received a GE Leadership Certification and a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from General Electric Manufacturing Company (GEMAC). In 2006, they obtained an International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) certification from the New York Institute of Finance. More recently, in 2018, Segun Olowofela obtained a Board of Directors Candidate Certification from BoardAssist NYC/United Way and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Candidate certification from the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants.
