Rob Sicurelli

Rob Sicurelli has had a diverse range of work experiences. Rob is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Apella since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Citadel as a Senior Software Engineer, IC from June 2021 to September 2022. At Citadel, they were the technical owner of three major services and one ETL platform, playing a crucial role in the firm's operations. Rob designed and implemented the authorization framework for the firm's largest reference data service and optimized read latency for another major reference data service.

Before joining Citadel, Rob held the position of Executive Director, Evidence Lab at UBS from August 2017 to May 2021. Their responsibilities included designing and building the backend alternative data processing platform for Evidence Lab, bringing onboard a large team of data engineers and managing a substantial amount of data.

Prior to UBS, Rob worked as a Software Engineer at Facebook from March 2014 to August 2017. Rob also gained experience at Signal Data Corporation as a Software Engineer from September 2012 to February 2014. Before entering the industry, they conducted research as an undergraduate at Princeton University and INFN in 2011.

Rob Sicurelli earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Princeton University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012.
