Michael Shaw

Michael Shaw has extensive experience in risk management and compliance roles in the financial industry. Michael is currently the Chief Risk Officer at Aperture Investors since October 2022. Previously, they served as the Chief Risk Officer at Athanor Capital from 2020 to 2021. Before that, they held various positions at Caxton Associates, including Associate Partner, Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Administrative Officer, and Managing Director, Risk Management, between 2011 and 2020. Michael also worked at Goldman Sachs, where they were the Chief Market Risk Officer, Vice President, and Associate in the market risk management division from 1998 to 2011.

Michael Shaw earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics from the University of Nottingham, where they studied from 1995 to 1998.
