Tom Curtin, CPA, CFA has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Tom is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Aperture Investors since January 2023. Prior to that, they were the Controller at Aperture Investors from July 2022 to December 2022. Before joining Aperture Investors, Tom worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Andalusian Private Capital from April 2021 to April 2022. Tom also served as the Controller at Castle Hook Partners LP from October 2016 to April 2021. Tom started their career as an Assistant Controller at Aurelius Capital Management in August 2010 and worked there until October 2016, gaining experience in preparation and review of financial statements and tax filings. Tom began their career as an Accountant at Archer Capital Management, L.P. in October 2006 and worked there until August 2010.

Tom Curtin, CPA, CFA has an extensive education history. Tom began their education at Chaminade High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they attended the NYU Stern School of Business from 2002 to 2006, where they achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in CPA Accounting and Actuarial Science.

In addition to their educational background, Curtin has obtained two additional certifications. In 2011, they became a Certified Public Accountant from the NY State Office of the Professions. Later, in 2015, they obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst certification from the CFA Institute.
