Riku Holopainen

Riku Holopainen is an experienced production manager at Apetit Oyj, focusing on the Kantvik oil mill and edible oil refining plant since January 2020. Prior roles at Apetit include production engineer, where responsibilities encompassed process optimization, troubleshooting, operator training, and involvement in HACCP for food safety. Riku also contributed to investment projects and R&D initiatives, such as the BlackGrain from Yellow Fields project. Earlier experience includes design engineer at JETS Consulting Oy with a focus on piping and layout for the food and petrochemical sectors and engineering roles at Envor Protech Oy and Tuusulan seudun vesilaitos. Riku's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Chemical and Process Engineering from Aalto University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
