Theo Turner

Theo Turner has a diverse background in software engineering and development. Theo most recently worked as a Lead Software Engineer at ApeVue starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer, Military MLOps at Helsing from December 2021 to October 2022. In this role, they focused on back-end development, including the creation of high-performance gRPC APIs for military aerial combat ML model training.

From 2020 to 2021, Theo worked as a Senior Full Stack Developer at Pluto Data Analytics, where they developed robust sports betting models and APIs using Python, SQL, and Flask/FastAPI. Before that, they were a Software Developer at Outlier Ventures from 2018 to 2020, contributing to the development of blockchains, data analytics systems, and APIs.

Theo also has experience as a Managing Partner, Technology at Ceratus LLP, Turner Dhir LLP from 2017 to 2018, where they focused on contract projects and the development of blockchains and smart contracts. Theo previously worked as an SDK Student Project Lead at Microsoft, Nuffield Health, and UCL, where they created a VR physiotherapy platform.

Other roles in Theo's work experience include Senior Mentor at University College London, where they provided management and support to Undergraduate Mentors, and Machine Learning Crash Course at Google, where they worked on feature engineering and neural network development. Theo Turner completed a Master of Engineering degree in Mathematical Computation from UCL in the years 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained A-levels from Brockenhurst College between 2011 and 2013. Additionally, Theo has obtained certifications in Security Clearance from the UK Ministry of Defence in March 2022, and in Advanced Open Water Nitrox Diver from PADI in 2011.
