John Rock

John Rock has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry. John is currently the SVP - Director of Government Guaranteed Lending at Apex Bank since November 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Synovus as the Senior Vice President Commercial Relationship Manager from March 2020 to November 2023. Before Synovus, John held various roles at First Bank and Trust, including Senior Vice President/ Director of Government Lending Division SBA, USDA & Municipal Leasing Program from March 2019 to March 2020, and Senior Vice President/Regional Manager & Director of SBA Lending from August 2008 to March 2019.

John Rock completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marketing from East Tennessee State University, where they studied from 1978 to 1983. Additionally, they attended the University of Virginia's Consumer Banking Association Graduate School of Bank Management, focusing on Banking.
