William Long has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. William started their career as an Independent Adjuster at BCMG - Brown Claims Management Group, where they managed and closed over 600 wind, hail, and water back-up claims. William also trained incoming adjusters and traveled to multiple states.
After that, they worked as an Inside Claims Adjuster at AAA-The Auto Club Group, specializing in handling sinkhole losses and managing various property claims.
William then joined Apex Claims Management, LLC as the Director Of Field Operations, where they supervised field staff employees and coordinated claims during Hurricane Irma. William was responsible for evaluating resource needs, providing leadership and guidance to their team.
Later, they joined Heritage Insurance as a Team Lead Inside Desk Adjuster, where they worked collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, coordinating vendor services and assisting policyholders with damages and emergency repairs.
In 2021, they became the Claims Operations Manager at Avatar Property & Casualty Insurance, overseeing the claims department's operational, financial, and service requirements. William implemented strategic processing and payment of claims and collaborated with the legal department to stay updated on relevant regulations.
In 2022, they joined Examination Resources, LLC as the Examiner in charge. Currently, they are the Head of Claims Strategy at Apex Claims Management, LLC.
Throughout their career, William has gained extensive knowledge and experience in claims handling, leadership, and strategic planning.
William Long obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance, General from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. In March 2021, they also received a certification as a Real Estate Broker/Sales Agent from Elite Realty Real Estate Broker.
