Leong Khai Cheong

Leong Khai Cheong, 71, male, a Malaysian, was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company on 18th February 2000 and as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director on 24th August 2005. He retired as a Director of the Company on 23rd May 2019. He was re-appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company and a member of the Audit Committee on 2nd August 2021. He was appointed as Chairman of the Risk and Sustainability Committee on 1st January 2022. He is a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and holds associate membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. He worked in professional audit firms in Malaysia and England in the areas of audit and company secretarial services. He held senior positions with experience in corporate planning and financial management in public listed companies in Malaysia and Singapore. He was the Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of Ogawa World Berhad from 2007 to 2013. He currently holds directorships in various private companies in Malaysia.
