Dave Pivnik

Dave Pivnik has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Dave started their career as a Geologist at AMOCO in 1993 and worked there until 2000. Dave then joined BP as a Senior Geologist until 2003. Dave then worked for Apache Corporation as a Senior Geological Advisor for 12 years. In 2015, they joined Oxy Oil & Gas as the Manager of Subsurface Specialties until 2016. Currently, Dave is the VP Geosciences at Apex International Energy, a position they have held since 2016.

Dave Pivnik completed their Bachelor's Degree in Geology at the State University of New York at Fredonia from 1981 to 1985. Dave then pursued a Master's Degree in Geology/Earth Science, General at the University of Rochester from 1986 to 1988. After that, they attended Dartmouth College from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Geology.
