Robert Ayer

Robert Ayer, MD, FAANS, is a highly experienced board-certified neurosurgeon currently practicing at Apex Spine and Neurosurgery since July 2020. Ayer has extensive prior experience, including a role as a neurosurgeon at Gwinnett Medical Center from August 2014 to July 2020. Ayer's surgical training includes positions as a Clinical Instructor and Skull Base Neurosurgery Fellow at UC Irvine Health and Chief Resident in Neurological Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Ayer completed a Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery Fellowship at Swedish and has held various other roles in surgery and neurosurgery. Ayer obtained a Doctor of Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Boston University. Additionally, Ayer has a background in advanced life sciences technology involving DNA micro-array technology from Corning Incorporated.
