Daina Makarenko

Daina Makarenko, P. Eng. currently serves as the Vice President of Operations and Engineering at Apex Utilities Inc., a position held since January 2012, following roles as Director of Engineering Services and District Supervisor of Distribution Operations. In this capacity, Daina ensures the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of company facilities, while also leading the administration of new projects, construction, and quality control initiatives. Previous experience includes positions as a Field Engineer and Estimator at Kiewit and a co-op student in System Planning and Design at AltaGas Utilities Inc. Daina holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, completed in 2011.
