Araz Arbabi is an experienced aerothermal specialist currently serving as a team leader at APG-Neuros since October 2018. In this role, Araz provides mean-line design for mixed flow and centrifugal compressors, conducts 3D gas path design using ANSYS BladeGen, DesignModeler, and SolidWorks, and performs CFD analysis on various turbomachinery components. Prior to this, Araz worked at Concordia University from January 2011 to August 2018 as a graduate research assistant, where a PhD was achieved in collaboration with Honeywell Aerospace, along with significant contributions to the development of FORTRAN routines for turbomachinery blade redesign. Araz also served as a teaching assistant, facilitating learning in turbomachinery, propulsion, aerodynamics, and gas dynamics. Araz holds a PhD and a Master of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University, as well as a Bachelor of Science from Tabriz University.
