Independent lawyer since 1995. Member of the Board of Directors of Polymedia Holding AG, Muri bei Bern, since 1996. Member of the Board of Directors of Maxomedia AG, Bern, since 2009 (2012 to 2019 as Chairman, since 2019 as Vice-Chairman). Chairman of the Board of Directors of Serigraphie Uldry AG, Hinterkappelen, since 2002. Member of the boards of directors of various Swiss SMEs.
