Christoph Mertz

Christoph Mertz has been working in the tech industry since 2007. Christoph began as an Intern at IBM Deutschland Research & Development GmbH, followed by a role as a Student Research Assistant at Fraunhofer FOKUS in 2008. In 2009, they became a Software Engineer at Verti Versicherung AG, and in 2012 they took on the role of Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Aroundhome. In 2016, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Fraugster, and in 2018 they were promoted to Lead Infrastructure Engineer at Shuttle Holdings. In 2019, they were promoted to Lead Cloud Engineer at elearnio, and in 2020 and 2021 they held the role of Senior Cloud Engineer at Kiwigrid GmbH. Most recently, they have been working as a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer at Apheris since 2021.

Christoph Mertz received their Maîtrise en génie mathematique et informatique from the Institut Supérieur Franco-Allemand de Techniques, d'Economie et de Sciences in 2009. Christoph also obtained a Diplom (FH) in Computer Science from the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft des Saarlandes Saarbrücken in 2009. In 2006, they earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Universite de Lorraine. Additionally, Christoph Mertz holds two certifications: ITIL v3 Foundation from EXIN, obtained in September 2011, and Sun Certified Programmer from Sun Microsystems, obtained in October 2009.
