Kirsten Larson is a public health professional with extensive experience in food safety and epidemiology. Currently serving as the Manager of the Food Safety Program at the Association of Public Health Laboratories since January 2010, Kirsten previously held roles at the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as FoodNet Coordinator and Epidemiologist in the Division of Outbreak Investigation from 2003 to 2010. Additionally, Kirsten worked as a Consultant for the Injury Prevention Program at Hennepin County Health Department and completed an internship in the Emerging Infections Program at the Minnesota Department of Health in 2002. Kirsten holds a Master of Public Health in Community Health Education from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Chemistry, and French from the University of Jamestown.
