Rinat Ibrayev

Rinat Ibrayev has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rinat currently holds the position of Principal Engineer at Apixio since September 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Castlight Health as a Sr. Software Data Engineer from July 2015 to September 2018.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer at Calix from November 2012 to July 2015, where they led Big Data development and research, worked with Hadoop MapReduce and Apache Spark for large data processing.

Rinat has also worked at Ericsson as a Systems Engineer III from February 2011 to October 2012, where they coordinated cross-functional product delivery and defined system requirements. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer II at Ericsson from July 2007 to January 2011, where they designed and developed network OAM software in C and telecom equipment testing solutions in Java and C++.

Rinat began their career as a Research Assistant at Iowa State University from June 2002 to July 2007, where they conducted research in model-based object recognition and developed mathematical and numerical optimization algorithms.

Rinat Ibrayev holds a PhD in Computer Science from Iowa State University, which they obtained in 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university in 2004. Rinat completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Mathematics. Rinat also obtained additional certifications in Scalable Machine Learning and Introduction to Big Data with Apache Spark from edX in 2015.
