Brenton White, Ed.D. has extensive experience in education and leadership roles. Brenton began their career as a Music Teacher at Rylie Academy in 1998 before becoming an Elementary Vice Principal the following year. In 2000, they became the first Principal of A+ Academy, where they witnessed significant growth in student enrollment. After serving as Principal until December 2004, they took on the position of Chief Compliance and Technology Officer at A+ Charter Schools, Inc. From there, they progressed to the role of Deputy Superintendent in June 2015, and eventually became the Superintendent/CEO in February 2016. Prior to their time at A+ Charter Schools, Inc., they worked as an Elementary School Teacher at Faith Family Academy from September 1997 to June 1998.
Brenton White, Ed.D. has a diverse and extensive education history. Brenton pursued their doctoral degree in K-12 Leadership from Dallas Baptist University, completing the program between 2016 and 2019. In addition, they took a graduate level statistics class at the University of Phoenix in 2017.
Back in 1997, Brenton obtained a Masters of Music degree in Jazz Studies Vocal Performance from the prestigious University of Southern California. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at Boston University, where they earned their Bachelors of Music degree in Classical Vocal Performance in 1994.
Aside from their academic pursuits, Brenton White also obtained certifications in education administration. Brenton holds a Principal certification from the State Board of Education, qualifying him to serve as a principal for grades EC-12. Additionally, they achieved a Superintendent certification from the Texas State Board for Educator Certification, which qualifies him for superintendent roles in the same grade range.
