Michael Simon

Michael Simon is an experienced professional in the media and entertainment industry, currently serving as a Junior Editor and Lead Tech at A+E Networks since May 2018, after progression from roles including freelance Assistant Editor and staff Post Coordinator. At A+E, responsibilities include editing across various channels, managing post-production workflows, and supporting multiple editors and producers. Previously, Michael held the position of Lead Assistant Editor at Laundry Service, where project preparation for high-profile clients was primary, along with media management and administrative duties. Experience also includes a role as Digital Multimedia Archivist at the United Nations, focusing on digital asset management and AI development projects, along with an internship at PEN America, where social media presence and analytics were key components. Michael began a career in post-production as an intern at Loki Films, assisting in the editing of documentary content. Michael holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & TV Production from New York University and has pursued additional studies in design and urban ecology at The New School, along with courses at MITx.
