Christopher Allen is an experienced professional in health, safety, and environmental (EHS) management, currently serving as the Director of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment at APM Terminals since June 2019. Previous roles include Director of Environmental Health and Safety at NBCUniversal, Inc., Worldwide Director of Environmental, Health and Safety at Pelican Products, Inc., and Associate Director & EH&S Lead at Illumina, where Christopher was instrumental in setting corporate EHS strategy for a billion-dollar life sciences company. With a robust background in EHS audits for major power generation and distribution facilities and a history of leadership roles in organizations like Southern California Edison and Amgen, Christopher has developed EHS talent and compliance programs extensively throughout a distinguished career that began as a Safety Inspector for OSHA. Christopher holds multiple degrees in various health and safety disciplines from esteemed institutions, including Harvard and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
