Lawrence Young has a diverse education history. Lawrence began their academic journey in 1974 at the University of Arizona, where they pursued two degrees simultaneously. From 1974 to 1976, they obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Safety Management. During the same time, they also pursued another MS degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. Young then attended the Universadad Autonoma de Chihuahua from 1978 to 1983, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Following this, they returned to the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson and completed a Fifth Pathway degree in Medicine from 1984 to 1985. Finally, they undertook an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson from 1985 to 1988.
