Alec Thomas

Alec Thomas currently serves as the Head of Materials at Apoha and an Academic Partner at Wilbe | Home for Scientist Leaders, both since September 2021. Previously, Alec was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford, focusing on the development of novel therapeutic and diagnostic agents for ultrasound-guided drug delivery. In academia, Alec has led a Biomaterials course for second-year engineering students, transforming it into a fully virtual format during the pandemic, and facilitated a Biomedical Engineering tutorial program at Stanford University. Alec holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, a Master's in Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering, all from the University of Colorado Boulder. Additional experience includes work as a National Science Foundation Fellow and a Python Developer at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
