Phil Burrows

Phil Burrows is the founder and CEO of Apollo Home Healthcare. Phil has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including stints as the Managing Director of Advantage Healthcare Group and Acquisitions Manager at Allied Healthcare Group.

Burrows began their career in 1992 as a Financial Analyst at Moto Hospitality. Phil quickly rose through the ranks, becoming Acquisitions Manager at Allied Healthcare Group in 2004. In this role, they were responsible for managing a programme of domiciliary care and healthcare staffing business acquisitions in the UK and overseas. Phil completed 30 deals in a two-year period with consideration in excess of £30m.

In 2006, Burrows became the Managing Director of Advantage Healthcare Group. In this role, they were responsible for growth, direction, strategy, new market development and day-to-day management and oversight of 27 branch, £50m turnover home healthcare businesses. Phil was a critical driver in transforming a private equity backed, under-performing organisation into a market leading care at home business by driving significant restructure, investment and diversification. The business achieved year-on-year double-digit % growth and they served in a lead capacity to deliver the successful £27m sale of the company to Interserve Plc in December 2012.

In 2013, Burrows founded Apollo Home Healthcare. Under their leadership, Apollo has become one of the leading home healthcare providers in the UK.

Phil Burrows has an MBA in Finance from the University of Leicester and is a MCIPS Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply from Sandwell College.
