Fredrik Åkermo

Fredrik Åkermo is a seasoned IT executive with extensive experience in the travel industry. Currently serving as the CIO for the Northern Europe segment at DER Touristik since June 2021, Åkermo oversees a business representing a turnover of approximately EUR 1 billion across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the UK, France, and Benelux. Additionally, since June 2012, Åkermo has held the position of CIO at Apollo Travel Group, managing operations across several Scandinavian countries and the airline Novair. Previous roles include CIO Outbound Europe at Kuoni Travel Group, Head of Business Operations and Systems at Kuoni Scandinavia AB, and other significant positions within Kuoni, Avega Group, Tuesday Consulting, Connecta, and JP Bank. Åkermo holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering Physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, completed between 1989 and 1994.
