Shunlai Li, CFA, FRM, currently serves as Principal and Head of Data Transformation at Apollo Global Management Inc., overseeing insurance solutions since April 2021. Previously at MetLife from November 2010 to March 2021, Shunlai held roles including Assistant Vice President/Director of the Transformation Management Office and Associate Director of International Portfolio Management, leading significant initiatives such as a $400 billion middle office outsourcing program and global LIBOR transition. Prior experience includes serving as Regional Investment Officer and Investment Reporting & Analytics Manager for AIG/ALICO, where Shunlai managed investment portfolios during the 2008 financial crisis, and as Financial Analyst at Citi. Shunlai holds an MBA and is a PhD candidate from the University of Rochester - Simon Business School, as well as a BS in Economics & Mathematics from the University of Northern British Columbia.
