Peter Hedlund

Peter Hedlund has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Peter started their career at AstraZeneca AB in 1999 as an Associate Director in Quality Control and Assurance, responsible for ensuring quality in the production of sterile liquids, oral solutions, and pumpsprays. Peter then progressed to roles such as Head of Pharmaceutical Factory 1, where they managed the production site, improved efficiency and service delivery, and restructured the manufacturing organization.

In 2004, Peter became the Director of Production Technology at AstraZeneca AB, where they focused on managing and developing the technical maintenance of production equipment. Peter successfully reduced maintenance lead times, deviations, and established dedicated maintenance teams.

Peter later served as the Manager of Business Development, overseeing strategic projects in the manufacturing business of AstraZeneca Sweden. During this role, they delivered lead-time improvement projects, resulting in an average of 30% improvement in the flow of goods.

From 2007 to 2010, Peter took on the responsibility of Head of Essentials SHE Sweden at AstraZeneca AB. In this role, they managed Safety, Health, and Environment, including emergency management systems. Peter was also responsible for energy supply and contracts, with a budget of approximately 300 million SEK.

Most recently, Peter worked at APL (Apotek Produktion & Laboratorier AB) as the Head of Real Estate and Facility Management since 2013. This role entailed overseeing real estate and facility management.

Throughout their career, Peter has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, managing large teams and budgets. Peter has also been involved in portfolio management, customer relationship management, business development, and various improvement initiatives.

Peter Hedlund attended the KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 1983 to 1988, where they earned a Master of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Chemical Engineering. Peter then continued their education at the same institution from 1988 to 1998, obtaining a Licentiate of Engineering degree in Analytical Chemistry.
