Faramarz Farahani

Faramarz Farahani is a seasoned IT executive with extensive experience in technology transformation, cybersecurity, and strategic IT leadership across various industries. Currently serving as a CIO Consultant at Apotex Inc. since February 2024, Faramarz is responsible for defining and executing technology strategies aligned with business objectives. Prior roles include CIO Advisor for Brookfield Asset Management and CAST, where responsibilities involved overseeing IT due diligence for M&A projects and coaching executive teams on IT strategies respectively. Faramarz has also provided CTO advisory services to the Canadian Cancer Society and served as Senior Vice President & CIO at Sofina Foods Inc., where digital strategy and architecture were key focuses. With a strong background leading large technology teams and managing significant IT budgets, Faramarz has developed a reputation for driving digital and sustainable transformations. Faramarz holds a degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto and has further educational qualifications from Guelph-Humber College.
