Robert Shapiro

Robert Shapiro holds an MBA, LLM, and JD, and has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and legal field. Currently serving as Chief of Staff & Head of Strategy, International at Apotex Inc. since October 2011, Robert is responsible for developing and executing the growth strategy across over 75 countries. Previous roles at Apotex included Global Director, Portfolio Management and Senior Patent Counsel, where significant portfolio growth was achieved and legal strategies were transformed to reduce risk and litigation costs. Earlier in the career, Robert served as Global Lead Patent Attorney for Belmore Neidrauer and held positions at Hitchman & Sprigings and Mills & Mills LLP. Robert's educational background includes advanced degrees in business and law from the University of Toronto, University of Detroit Mercy, and University of Windsor, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
