José Carlos Saavedra

He is partner and principal economist of APOYO Consultoria. Leads the macroeconomic analysis team of the Business Advisory Service (SAE) . He is an expert in the fields of macroeconomics, economic policies, labor market, and economic forecasts. In addition, he runs APOYO’s Political Proposals publication (Propuestas de Política), an initiative that seeks to identify concrete measures to understand the problems that have an impact in the country’s development. Formerly, he was an Economic Growth Policy Analyst at the Peruvian Central Bank.

He is an economist from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and holds a Master’s degree from New York University. He has followed specialized studies in emerging countries’ international finance, statistics, and public services regulation.
