Jose Carlos Saavedra Solano

Jose Carlos Saavedra Solano is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in macroeconomic analysis and policy development. Currently a partner and principal economist at APOYO Consultoría, a position held since December 2007, Jose also served as head of macroeconomic analysis. Prior roles include directorship and vice presidency at IPAE from May 2018 to May 2021, as well as a specialist in economic growth policies at the Central Reserve Bank of Peru from July 2006 to December 2007. Jose's career began as a senior analyst at APOYO Consultoría from July 2003 to June 2006. Jose holds a Master’s degree in Economics from New York University and completed the International Financial Issues in Emerging Markets Policy Program at Columbia University, following a Bachelor's degree in social sciences with a focus on Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú.
