Ryan M. Eller

Ryan Eller serves as the Executive Director of Appalachia Funders Network since April 2023, leading a coalition of over 70 philanthropic organizations and government agencies to promote equitable economic transitions in Central Appalachia. In addition, Ryan is the President of Beloved Community Foundation, which aims to create a just and inclusive society in the wake of Breonna Taylor's death. Previous roles include Head of Partnerships at Coeuraj, Co-Founder and Executive Director of The New Moral Majority, and Executive Director of Define American, focusing on media and narrative change around immigration and identity. With extensive experience in campaign management and community organizing, Ryan has held positions at Change.org, Communities Helping All Neighbors Gain Empowerment, and served as a commissioned officer in the US Navy. Ryan's educational background includes advanced degrees in Divinity, Public Administration, and a current pursuit of a Doctor of Ministry at Duke University.
